The Georgia Academy of Family Physicians is proud to announce that we are the physician group leading the charge to increase flu vaccine rates in Georgia for the 2023-2024 season. Our focus will be on communities of color and overcoming longstanding barriers.
Barriers may result from:
- Cultural issues/belief systems
- Socioeconomic conditions
- Geographic conditions: Rural vs. Urban
- Racial and or Ethnic Conditions
We are recruiting all clinicians who are connected to communities of color (whether you are a vaccination site or not) to join our efforts to connect with our patients on their path to one of the standards of primary care β the annual flu shot.
π Breaking Barriers is HARDβ¦β¦.
π Practice humility
π Stay open to learning.
π Question discomfort and lean into it.
