Deadline 12/16: 2023 Legislative Priorities Survey for Family Physicians

Every two years, the Georgia General Assembly begins a new session where all new legislation must be introduced and considered by both the Georgia State House and State Senate before being sent to the Governor for final consideration (approval) and becoming Georgia State law. Georgia has one of the largest state legislatures in the nation, the General Assembly, which meets from January until late March and sets the state’s annual operating budget.

We are asking the members of the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians (GAFP), to take less than seven minutes to inform your leadership about YOUR priorities for you and your patients.

The GAFP already has policy on most of the initiatives listed in your survey, but we need your input in terms of how important they are to you and to your practice so that the Legislative Committee can prioritize our efforts to influence new legislation. The Legislative Committee meets weekly during the session and makes recommendations to the GAFP Board for approval of legislative priorities.

Please respond no later than December 16.  Ten random participants will receive a $10 Amazon gift card!  Thank you for your response!
