Summer Meeting Update!!

Join Us at the Beach or Access CME from Your Home!

With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to dominate the news, and our physicians and their clinical teams serving as frontline defenders, the Georgia Academy will offer our Summer CME Meeting as a virtual…and (limited) onsite meeting.

The 2021 virtual Summer CME meeting will be live streamed online on Friday, June 11^th and Saturday, June 12, from 8:30am – 3:30pm, offering up to 12 hours of CME.

Also, the Education and Research Committee has scheduled our virtual KSAs for the following dates:

• Health Behaviors – Saturday, May 8, 10:00am – 2:00 pm
• Heart Disease – Saturday, May 15, 10:00am – 2:00 pm
• Palliative Care – Saturday, May 22, 10:00am – 2:00 pm

You will be able to register for the KSAs on the Virtual Summer CME meeting registration site.

Additionally, for those of you who choose to travel to the Sonesta Resort in Hilton Head during our meeting dates, we will stream the virtual lectures in a socially distanced ballroom on the property.

As an attendee, you will have the following registration options:

Virtual Attendance: Attend the meeting remote from the comfort of your own space (e.g., home/office, hotel room).

 In-Person Attendance: Attend the meeting by going to the Sonesta Resort Hotel and be physically present to participate in the educational sessions.

(limited to the first 100 registrants for safety reasons).

 Educational content and available live CME credits will be exactly the same for both virtual and in-person attendees.

The virtual conference will include clinical education on such topics as COVID-19, CKD Clinical Decisions: The Role of SGLT2 Inhibitors, COPD Management, and Dementia. Throughout both days you will hear from nationally recognized faculty and providers.

Note that our meeting is limited to 100 on-site registrants so rooms will go fast!
