The Georgia Healthy Family Alliance (GHFA) Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Shan Hayes has been named the Director of Philanthropy. In this position Shan will support the Your Giving is Great Medicine capital campaign aimed at expanding the reach and funding of the Community Health Grant program and Tar Wars in communities where Georgia Academy of Family Physicians (GAFP) members live and serve.
Shan comes to GHFA from YouthSpark, a nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of youth at risk for exploitation and sexual abuse. Shan previously held positions with Junior Achievement of Georgia and the Boy Scouts of America.
A native of DeKalb County, Shan is a graduate of the University of Georgia where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. In her free time, Shan enjoys traveling to new places and spending time with close friends and family.
The Your Giving is Great Medicine capital campaign seeks to further the organizational capacity of the Alliance by securing funding from the health care community at large, foundations and businesses to increase the number of Community Health Grants and Tar Wars presentations in the years ahead.
