Tar Wars Presenters are Gearing Up for the 2022-2023 School Year!

Over the last several weeks, over one hundred medical residents and educators were trained on the Tar Wars curriculum across Georgia!  The Memorial Health Family Medicine Residents participated in a Zoom training, along with all the elementary physical education teachers in the Savannah-Chatham City School district, who received an in-person walk through the Tar Wars materials.  Thousands of Savannah 4th-5th graders will be educated on the dangers of tobacco, nicotine and vape-use this school year, and we couldn’t be more excited to share this important message with them!

In addition to the activity in the Southeast region, our new Middle Georgia Strike force is ramping up, as we were able to train all of the Bibb County elementary physical education teachers on Tar Wars, helping them prepare to implement the program this school year for thousands of elementary students in their school district.

We are excited about all of the momentum, and can’t wait to see what the new school year has in store!
