Tar Wars Represented at NYAR Conference

For more than 32 years, the National Youth Advocacy and Resilience  (NYAR) Conference has continued to provide quality, relevant training for all people interested in the well-being of youth, including but not limited to teachers at all levels, principals and assistant principals, school counselors and psychologists, health and human service counselors and personnel, criminal justice professionals, business and community leaders, volunteer service providers, marriage and family therapists, and social workers.

On March 5-8, hundreds of leaders assembled in Savannah for this year’s NYAR Conference. Tar Wars provided a booth for conference attendees and delivered valuable information on smoking, vaping and cessation resources. Leaders in the program also presented a workshop covering current vaping statistics and trends, as well as the importance of providing education and intervention early and often to students.  The workshop was well-received with many new connections made and opportunities to educate students in new counties across Georgia.

Would you like to provide an educational workshop on vaping in your community? We would love to be a resource! Reach out to acarr@gafp.org to learn more.
