Sarah Catherine Dupont is from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. She is in her third year of medical school and is in the MD/MPH program. Sarah Catherine is particularly interested in healthcare advocacy and would like to encourage more of her peers to go into primary care specialties like family medicine.
Our second new Student Board Member is Joey Krakowiak, a fourth year medical student from the GRU/UGA Medical Partnership in Athens, GA. Joey was a high school teacher before going to medical school and says he is “passionate about family medicine as a profession and its historic commitment to serve in areas of greatest need.”
Our final voting Student Board Member for 2016 will be Candace Markley. Like Sarah Catherine, Candace is enrolled in the MD/MPH program at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. She is in her fourth year of medical school and served as an Alternate Student Board Member in 2015. She has decided to apply to Family Medicine residency programs and would like to further develop “the community coalition skills [she] hopes to employ during [her] residency and career as a community physician.”

The second Alternate Student Board Member will be Christina Meade from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. Christina is in her third year of medical school.
