In this workshop, we’ll be talking about the latest changes in Evaluation and Management Coding rules for outpatient services that happened in 2021, as well as the new rules for facility billing implemented in 2023. We’ll also touch on the guidelines coming up on January 1, 2024, which includes a new document update with the number G2211. Let’s get ready to dive in and learn all about it!
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Describe an overview of outpatient coding including updates planned for 2024,
- Understand the new guidelines and changes to HCC and RAF coding under V28,
- Understand changes to outpatient preventive coding for government and private payers,
- Explore common mistakes being made in documentation and best practices to apply moving forward,
- Recall the CMS conversion factor for 2024,
- Examine the potential implementation of G2211 for primary chronic care patients.
